Products include tools and solutions to address cutting-edge challenges such as power amplifier linearization using adaptive digital pre-distortion (DPD) and Multiple Input/Multiple Output (MIMO) algorithms. Technical expertise encompasses all elements of the physical layer including signal processing for both mobile and fixed terminals such as; filtering, frequency translation, crest factor reduction, FFT, forward error connection, constellation de-mapping, soft decision decoding, adaptive beam forming and diversity techniques. These technologies find application across the spectrum of contemporary wireless standards – 3GPP UMTS (WCDMA), 802.16 (WiMAX) and 802.11g/n (WiFi) – or equally they can be applied to proprietary systems.
Implementation expertise includes coding for platforms such as:
- DSP processors (floating and fixed point) – ‘C’ and assembler
- Array processors such as those from PicoChip – ‘C’ and assembler
- FPGA – HDL for multiple vendor technologies using efficient pipelining techniques
- Windows and Linux PC – MATLABâ and ‘C’
